School Building Visitors
No students or parents will be permitted in the buildings. All student technology and learning materials were already distributed. However, if you should you have any needs, please contact your school principal.
Virtual School Hours
All school buildings are on a virtual operating plan with school hours in place from 8 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday. Our building principals, school secretaries, guidance counselors, school nurses, and child study team members as well as any other support staff that assist you during the year, will be answering messages, emails, and reaching out to you to help address your questions and/or concerns to support your children. Communication with your teachers and your schools will continue. While e-mails are preferred, all messages left with your school will be returned promptly.
Our administrative buildings are closed to the public at this time in compliance with the state order for social distancing.
Technology Support Services
In the event that you need assistance, please communicate that to your child’s teacher and they will submit a Help Desk Work Order in your name electronically to our technology department. Once received, our technology staff will contact you immediately and directly to resolve your issue. Do not call the technology department directly.
Minor Changes in Our Online Education Program
March 29, 2020
Dear Springville Parents,
Thank you for a successful first week of learning online! As a school community we continue to work together to ensure your child can learn and grow even under these extraordinary circumstances. We know that your children enjoy connecting with their teachers and we continue to strive to make this experience positive and engaging.
We have made some minor adjustments to the learning schedules for grades 1 through 4. These plans allow for us to integrate specials (Art, Music, PE/Health, and Library Media) across the grade levels and throughout the week. These new plans will take effect tomorrow, Monday, March 30, 2020. The mornings will still be designated for instruction, and the afternoon hours will be a time for you to check in with teachers.
Please know that teaching and learning in this virtual platform is new to us all, including our teachers. All teachers are recording their lessons and they will be available for future access by students. If you have any questions at all for me or your child’s teacher, reach out anytime. We are here to make this process as smooth as possible for you and your children.
During this period of school closure, all school-related activities are canceled.
Specific cancellations of events or activities will be posted here:
Issuance of Staff Badges - Mount Laurel School staff badges will not be issued while schools are closed. We will resume badge processing when schools reopen.
New Student Registration - The registration process for new students for the remainder of this year, or next school year, may still be started through our online system found on ourRegistration Webpage. Please note that documentation processes have changed in light of the closure, and are detailed on that page.
